At the time John Johnson' and the folks lived there and I was born in Frankfort. They then moved back to SD. At that time Ole Leeland came to Frankfort. A.T. and Oscar Thompsons both lived in Iowa at this time and that is where Dad lived when he came from Norway. Worked on a farm around there until all went to SD. He worked in Mitchell and also went out west of Thompsons' on that homestead he had. We went out and looked at it and it was very bleak. Used only for pasture as it was rocky. All the land around Storla was taken up by then when Dad came out there. Mother came to America a couple of months before she was married.
