He had another major stroke during the trip to Bismark and was returned to Tioga where he subsequently passed away.
Clifford was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church and a member of the Church council and a former member of Bethel Lutheran Church where he served as treasurer. He also served as Hazel Township treasurer for 32 years. He enjoyed playing baseball, bowling and enjoyed other sports.
